Same Day Crowns
Implant dentistry can replace missing teeth to be lifelike in beauty and function. If you have ever worn dentures, partial dentures or even known people who do, you are probably aware of how difficult chewing can be with removable, prosthetic teeth. Dental implants are a life-changing event that brings “quality of life” back because not only can you eat unlimited options of healthy foods again, but also you can smile, talk and live “normally” again.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening falls closely under cosmetic dental treatments. Our 1-hour in-office dental teeth whitening is a safe, quick, convenient, and comfortable procedure in which you can have your teeth fwhitened. During whitening, Dr. Karagyozyan places the gel on the teeth while isolating and protecting the gums. Then, Dr. Karagyozyan activates the bleach with a light to accomplish the whitening. A 1-hour bleaching session can produce dramatic whitening results with some tooth or gum sensitivity. Home teeth whitening is effective too, but requires more patient participation. You would wear bleaching trays for an hour a day for approximately 10-14 days. While the results can be impressive, some patients report difficulties with the required time commitment, while others report mild tooth or gum sensitivity. One benefit of home bleaching is that the trays provide a quick and easy method to do touch-ups.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic Dentistry can make your smile light up a room when you enter. Through different procedures, Dr. Karagyozyan, cosmetic dentist in Fullerton, will create that beautiful smile you've been dreaming of. With whitening, veneers, implants, crowns and bridges, we can change an average smile into a brilliant one. The benefit of cosmetic dentistry is to improve the appearance of a person’s teeth. Dental patients that choose Dr. Karagyozyan's dental cosmetic treatments report improved dental health as well as social and professional life. Your teeth can have a significant impact on your health, appearance, esteem, and self-confidence. There are many dental cosmetic treatments available to you from tooth whitening, bonding, tooth-colored restorations, white fillings, porcelain veneers, dental implants, and more!
Bridges
Dental bridges fill a gap that is created by one or more missing teeth in the jaw structure. A dental bridge is formed by placing two or more crowns on the neighboring sides of the gap. These are known as the abutment teeth which will have a false tooth or teeth placed between them. The false teeth may be formed from materials such as alloy, porcelain, gold or a combination of some of these materials.
Root Canal Treatment
A root canal is the space within the root of a tooth. It is part of a naturally occurring space within a tooth that consists of the pulp chamber (within the coronal part of the tooth), the main canal(s), and more intricate anatomical branches that may connect the root canals to each other or to the surface of the root.
When is a Root Canal Needed?
Signs you may need a root canal include:
- Severe toothache pain upon chewing or application of pressure
- Prolonged sensitivity/pain to heat or cold temperatures
- Discoloration (a darkening) of the tooth
- Swelling and tenderness in the nearby gums
- A persistent or recurring pimple on the gums
- Sometimes no symptoms are present
Wisdom Teeth Extractions
Wisdom teeth are the third and final set of molars that erupt in the back corners of the upper and lower normal adult mouth. They generally erupt from the gums in young adults between the ages of 17 and 25, at a time that has been called the “Age of Wisdom.” When a tooth fails to grow into the mouth, it is considered to be “impacted.” In general, these impacted teeth don’t have sufficient room to grow, which is a very common problem. Ninety percent of people have at least one impacted tooth.
Mouth Guards
When it comes to protecting your mouth, a mouthguard is an essential piece of athletic gear that should be part of your standard equipment from an early age. While collision and contact sports, such as boxing, are higher-risk sports for the mouth, you can experience a dental injury in non-contact activities too, such as gymnastics and skating.
